Nearly everyone has a family recipe that passes through the generations. I am lucky enough to have my Gran's cupcake recipe which is practically "unfloppable".
Her Vanilla Cupcakes with Chocolate Butter Frosting are so delicious and so easy that I had to share:
Ingredients:
125g Margarine
170g Castor Sugar
200g Flour
Pinch of Salt
5 ml Vanilla Essence
12,5ml Baking Powder
125ml Milk
3 Eggs
Preparation:
1. Place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl
2. Beat at low speed for 1 minute
3. Spoon into a muffin tin and bake at 190 C for 15 minutes
